February was the month that I decided to really kick things up a notch over here at For the Love of the Story. I participated in WWW each Wednesday and have connected with some wonderful book bloggers as a result.

Reading Progress

I finished 3 books in February. I pretty proud of myself for this, as although I read daily, I generally only read before bed. I am thinking about upping my Goodreads challenge target as a result but I don’t want to get ahead of myself!

Slowly but surely being reviewed as part of the Agatha Christie Reading Challenge

Challenge Progress

I got challenge obsessed during February! There was me thinking I would just track my reading with the Goodreads Challenge and then tackle the British Books Challenge as a way to give my reading so focus. Well, things may have gotten a little out of hand now!

2

My target is to read 20 books this year. I aimed for 25 last year and came up short. So far I have read 6 books.

BBC-pointed-shaded

I read and reviewed a ‘Murder Most Unladylike’ for the challenge. This got me a bonus point for reading a book by the author of the month. I’m feeling very proud of myself for this and looking forward to starting March’s read.

Agatha (1)

I only discovered the Agatha Reading Challenge yesterday but I know this is going to be a great one for me! I’ve already posted two reviews as part of it.

Bookopoly

When I discovered Bookopoly I instantly became obsessed with the idea. I have actually read enough books to buy three properties but I haven’t updated the graphic yet.

March Goals

Other than keep reading? I’ve got some ideas for a post (or two) I want to write about book to film adaptations. I will also be prepping for CampNaNoWriMo which takes place in April.

I’m really excited to keep connecting with other bloggers from all over the world and sharing in a love of reading.

Happy World Book Day Everyone 🙂

I also read mostly before bedtime, and when I decide to read during the day it feels like a stolen vacation time. My Goodreads challenge progress is deceptive as I read and reviewed a few picture books for authors, and those are obviously quick reads. Hopefully March is going well for you.

Quick reads are great for the Goodreads challenge. Comics and Manga are usually done in a day for me (typically these are ‘daytime’ reads). A lot of the books I am reading at the moment could be done in a couple of hours if I read for more than half 15-20 minutes at a time! Well, according to how fast my Kindle thinks I read that is. Thanks for stopping by my blog, and I hope you are enjoying your March reads 🙂
